HCG Diet

On September 25, 2009 i started the HCG Diet. I had to binge and eat the most fattening foods, high in fats, surgars and starches (felt like i wanted to throw up after that) i gained about 5 pounds in that 2 days. Then on the 27th i started a 21 day, 500 calorie diet, couldnt have more tham 3.5 ounces of protein, vegetables or fruits. I also could not have any sugars, fats, oils or startches. THIS WAS HARD!! You sure learn self control after this. Then the end of October i got to go to a 21 day, 1000 calorie diet, here i could eat pretty much anything as long as the food didnt contain any sugars or startches. I am now done and so far have lost 16 pounds and still loosing, also i have learned how much and what to eat. I also have better control over what i eat and my brain tells me when i am full and makes me quit eating. It was a HARD diet, but way worth it. I feel great and people can notice a difference.

UPDATE !! from 2 months ago :(

Well it has been too long since i have updated this blog, hopefully now that we are done camping i will be able to keep it updated. We pulled the trailer home the weekend of Labor Day, a very sad day. What has happened over the last month since we have been home ??? It seems to be all a blur, I went salary at work now working 45 hours a week, lots to do and still not enough time to do everything in. We have been working around the house making sure everything is up to par for the winter. Dad's birthday was last sunday, we went out to breakfast with Grandma Holt. That same day i started the HCG diet and have officially lost 7 pounds, and hoping i can keep going. This diet has been different and a little hard. All i want to do is eat sweets and everything i cannot eat. However, only 2 more weeks and i can start adding more into my diet, then after 21 more days i get to go back to normal. I hope to keep this blog a little bit more updated now days.

Free Grand Canyon Day + Buffalo =

We all decided to head up to the Grand Canyon last Sunday due to it being a free National Parks day, so we had a fabulous day in the Grand Canyon we went on some hikes and took some awesome pictures. We then went to the Imperial look out, where we saw 7 Helicopters giving scenic tours. We then were heading back to the trailer in Jacob Lake, AZ. We were almost to the park entrance when all of a sudden mom yells out ..... BUFFALO !! This was so freaking awesome to see a real wild herd of Buffalo. They came out of the trees, walking across the meadow crossing the road to the watering hole. Until, there was some dude with a dog that started to run up to them and scared them all back across the road. But it was still cool to see these enormous creatures. Cow Pie, my dogs new name

Well we have finally decided to rename JD to Cow Pie. While we were out camping over the weekend, my dog went with Josh, Mom and Dad on a nice little walk. Josh's story of what happen to rename the dog was unforgettable. I guess JD decided to find a cow pie laying out in the field and by the time anyone saw him he was mid air his back heading right toward the cow pie, then all of a sudden there was cow pie pieces flying everywhere. Oh and how did he stink, my mom got a cold wet paper towel and washed him up as much as possible. We then strapped him into the rhino, he was so pissed that he had to be strapped in but no one wanted to hold COW PIE after that incident. The story was priceless, so i had to share some of it.

Jacob Lake, AZ

This is Jacob Lake, AZ. We took a ride down this trail and it was beautful.

This is the fire watch tower, it is very far off the ground. I went up this last year, the view from top is so worth the hike up. Kiersten and Josh Corbin are the only 2 that made it all the way to the top.









We had a wonderful weekend, the weather was awesome no wind and only about 75 - 80 degrees all weekend. Alot better than the 106 degrees that we got when we were home. Heading back to Jacob Lake this weekend and every weekend until the end of July.
